Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and also has Chinese roots, but her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from an American family. Her parents separated when she was two years old, and she was raised by her mother and stepfather, who was a part of the United States Air Force. Even though the family moved out of Oklahoma and lived in a variety of areas, she was brought up in Tokyo, Japan. When she was in Japan, she was a local actress in theatre performances, and later was a Japanese modeling model. Olivia relocated from the United States back to Los Angeles and pursued her dreams of being an actor. After a few small roles in her professional career, she took another promising step when she was offered the character as Mily Acuna in Hawaii's lensed TV series Beyond the Break (2006) as well as the part of Rob Schneider's receptionist Big Stan (2007). She hosts G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" and "Formula D". The passion she has for surfing is something she's continued after the TV series Beyond the Break. She also holds an unofficial black belt in Taekwondo. She was only two when her mother got married again, but this time with the same US Air Force member. Although the family relocated many times throughout her life, she was raised in Tokyo, Japan, where her stepfather was stationed by the military. University of Oklahoma.
